The Crocheted Elizabeth Cardigan
Sometimes I make stuff. Then a couple weeks go by. Then I take pictures. Then a few more weeks go by. Then I edit the pictures. Then a few more…..you get the idea. The point I’m trying to make it sometimes I don’t get things on the blog as quickly as I intended. This crocheted cardigan is a perfect example. These pictures of Audrey were taken at the end of Dec. when she’d just turned 7 months old. Now she’s 10 month old! But here it is…..FINALLY!
You can find the free crocheted cardigan pattern for a 3-6 month size here. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Orchid.

I made this crocheted cardigan during my hospital stay after Audrey was born. I added a few extra stitches to make it more like a 6-9 month size which she wore in the fall / winter. She was 3 months in August and she would’ve passed out from heat stroke if I’d put a cardigan on her that time of year! To enlarge, chain 48 and replace round one of the pattern with the following:
R1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in the next 5 ch, (dc, ch1, dc) in the next ch, dc in the next 7 ch, (dc, ch1, dc) in the next ch, dc in the next 14 ch, (dc, ch1, dc) in the next ch, dc in the next 7 ch, (dc, ch1,dc) in the next ch, dc in the last 7 ch.
It was super easy to crochet and you only have to add one button. I chose a pretty little pearl one and love how sweet it looks.
