Family Photos 2018
We usually have our family photos taken in the spring to coincide with Sophie’s and Audrey’s birthdays but decided to do fall photos this year. I wanted to wear jeans and sweaters for a change! I didn’t make our outfits this year. My top and jewelry are from Stella & Dot, and Sophie & Audrey wore a combination of items from Old Navy & Target.
I’ve struggled to find the perfect photographer since the one who has taken our family photos since Audrey was an infant moved. I was lucky enough to meet local photographer Jody Mack when Sophie and her daughter Logan were in the same kindergarten class together. She’s become a good friend and it’s an added bonus that she’s a amazing photographer as well!
She took our 2018 family photos in several locations close to home. We started out at a vacant field off of Faison Road in Mount Pleasant, SC. I wasn’t sure about this location when Jody suggested it but it was perfect! The dried brush in the field made such a great backdrop for fall photos!
Next we took made a pit stop at our house to take some photos on our front porch on the new porch swing Robbie built.
The girls insisted taking pictures with their stuffies!
Next we moved onto an area in our neighborhood that had purple fountain grass.
Sophie was not being very cooperative about taking pictures that day and refused to smile for the first half of the session. She gave us the tiniest little smile in the picture below and it’s truly one of my all time favorite photos of Sophie.
We finished the session at Bolden Lake.
