White Quartz Countertops Reveal

It’s been a couple months since our mini kitchen and bathroom remodels and I could not possibly love our new white quartz countertops more! In addition to changing the countertops, we got a new cooktop, range hood, sink and faucet in the kitchen and new mirrors and vanity cabinet in the bathroom. Check out this post to see the before pictures and read about my long search for the perfect white quartz countertops.

If you’d like to purchase any of the products mentioned in this post, I’ve included a source list at the end with links. These are NOT affiliate links. I do not have an affiliate relationship with any of the vendors included – I simply like their products and love to share.

Kitchen countertops & appliances

Let’s start with the kitchen countertops. Arabescato Fonte was 100% the right choice for our kitchen! It brightened the room up so much and actual makes it look bigger. I love having the look of marble with the durability of quartz. Excuse the complete overload of photos but it’s worth showing off!

The countertops weren’t the only thing we changed. We got a new KitchenAid gas cooktop with five burners. This one is sooo much easier to clean than the old one.

We also added a stainless steel hood over the cooktop, which required taking out a cabinet that we relocated to our laundry room. Our old cooktop had a downdraft which didn’t work well and sucked all the hot air away so that it took forever boil a pot of water. The new hood looks cool and keeps cooking smells out of the house.

We also added a bigger, stainless steel sink and new faucet. Our old sink was a double bowl and I love having the extra room to wash dishes. The grate on the bottom was included and prevents the sink from getting scratched.

Last but not least we replaced the beadboard around our island with shiplap. It makes it look so fresh and modern.

Robbie installed the shiplap himself and you’ve got to admire his amazing ability to miter corners. I’ve seen other houses with shiplap that was professionally installed and their edge is simply covered with a piece of trim.

Bathroom countertops and mirrors

Our bathrooms also got a mini-makeover. The master and guests baths both had dark granite and the girl’s bathrooms had cultured marble. I would’ve 100% put the Arabescato Fonte in the bathrooms as well but to help with cost, I selected a more affordable option called Teltos Carrara that we put in all four bathrooms.

We also got rid of the big builder grade wall mirrors and replaced them with framed white mirrors. It definitely helps everything look more upscale and custom. I love the rustic farmhouse style look of the two in the master bath. We also added a center vanity cabinet for extra storage. I never could figure out what to do with the large area between the sinks so this was the perfect solution that looks good and is functional. Larger square shaped sinks and brushed nickel faucets finish the look.

Here’s a look at Sophie’s bath with a white distressed round mirror from Hobby Lobby.

Audrey’s bathroom got two oval shaped mirrors above each sink.
