Spring Fling Nightgown
Ready for a cool and comfy — and EASY — girls nightgown to sew for spring and summer?!?!
I used the Polly Peasant Dress pattern from Sew Much Ado, which is the same pattern I used to make the girls Big Sister – Little Sister Dresses. This pattern is so easy and quick to sew — even perfect for beginners! When paired with a nice fabric you can make a pretty dress, or it works just as well sewing it out of knit to make a comfy nightgown. I know this is a pattern I will use over and over again.
I found the cute pink and green ladybug and butterfly knit fabric from the remnant bin at Joann’s and had enough to sew a gown for both Sophie and Audrey. Sophie was thrilled that she and Audrey had matching jammies! She kept calling her cutie pie!
These nightgowns have been in heavy rotation around here. They’re cool, comfy and the girls love them.
Forgive me for the TONS of pictures in this post but Sophie was such a model! It’s so rare that she’s this cooperative about having her photo taken! I was taking full advantage of it snapping shot after shot!
Audrey, on the other hand, just wanted to turn in early for a good night’s sleep in her spring fling nightgown!
