Simply Lovely Dress

I do most of my sewing for Sophie and Audrey but every once in awhile I make something for myself. My latest project was this Simply Lovely dress sewn with a free pattern you can find here. The dress is really comfortable and cool for hot days and has an elastic waist.

The Simply Lovely Dress has three different bodice options as well as three different skirt options. The pattern is available in sizes XXX2 – XL. I’m wearing a small and opted for the bodice view “C” and skirt view “A.”

I used a coral colored bias tape for the straps and made the dress from a colorful, striped knit I found at Joann’s. I made Audrey’s Playdate Outfit from the same fabric.

The Simply Lovely Dress can be customized by sewing a different size bodice and skirt for a perfect fit. It’s rated as an advanced beginner pattern. There are only a few pattern pieces so it sews up quickly and easily.
