HOW DO I CARE FOR POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS?
- Polymer clay earrings should be handled with care and stored in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid wearing your earrings while showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
- Wait to put your earrings on until after you’ve applied makeup, perfume and/or hair products.
- If needed, earrings can be cleaned with a damp cloth or Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.
ARE THE METAL COMPONENTS HYPOALLERGENIC?
Most materials are hypoallergenic and nickel free. Many earrings are made with gold or silver plated stainless steel posts and hoops. Brass accents are used on some pieces. Please check the item descriptions for more info.
ARE CLAY EARRINGS HEAVY?
Polymer clay earrings are so lightweight you’ll barely know you’re wearing them! Polymer clay is the perfect earring material because you can wear larger styles without being weighed down!
DOES POLYMER CLAY BREAK?
A common misconception with clay earrings is that they are brittle like pottery or ceramic, but they are actually flexible and very durable. Polymer clay earrings should stand up well to wear and tear, however, it is always advised to treat them with care.
ARE THE POSTS SECURE?
We attach earring posts with super glue and then permanently fix them to the clay or shell using UV-cured resin. This method is extremely effective at securing posts and nearly guarantees that the post will not fall off.
WHAT IF THE METAL TARNISHES?
Tarnish or discoloration should be expected over time, even with gold and silver plated components. I highly recommend this jewelry polishing cloth to get them looking like new again!
